MARCH IS HERE! Which means Spring isn't too far away, which means, it's time to start RUNNING again! The Chicago Marathon is only 7 months away! Now, while it's still kind of a mess to run outside and I refuse to run on a treadmill, I spend my off season strengthening my legs with resistance training, plyo and YOGA! Yes folks, YOGA...it's a seriously underestimated training tool. While we spend our 3-4 days a week pounding the pavement, we need that off day to stretch our legs, loosen our hips and speed up muscle recovery to be ready for that next long run.
